National Women & Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

March 10, 2023

National Women & Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

National Women & Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is a day to raise awareness about the impact of HIV/AIDS on women and girls in the United States and around the world. It is a day to remember those who have lost their lives to this disease and to renew our commitment to ending the epidemic once and for all.

Women and girls continue to be disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDS, accounting for more than half of all new HIV diagnoses in the United States. The epidemic also has a significant impact on marginalized communities, including women of color, transgender women, and women living in poverty.

But there is hope. Through education, prevention, and treatment, we can work together to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS and improve the health and well-being of women and girls everywhere. On National Women & Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, we encourage everyone to take action, get tested, and learn more about how to protect themselves and their loved ones.

Together, we can create a future where HIV/AIDS is no longer a threat to the health and happiness of women and girls. Join us in raising awareness and making a difference today!
